Hector McDonnell has illustrated Ireland 1518 with 12 original drawings of Ferdinand’s journey and the incidents Vital observed or heard about in Kinsale.  Here is his first drawing showing a burial at sea in the early stages of the voyage.

The book was realised and produced in Cork.  It was beautifully laid out by Kieran O’Connor Design and put through the press by CityPrint.
